AN EXCLUSIVE ITINERARY ... AT AUTUMN COLOURS TIME

We have created an exclusive series of experiences on this tour that you will not find from any other company. You will be venturing off the beaten track to unusual destinations where you will most likely be the only foreign visitor.

See, touch, taste and enjoy the iconic and famous attractions of Japan, that epitomise the Ultimate Japanese Experience. Immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere of traditional Japanese Ryokan accommodation, savour the flavours of a wonderful variety of Japanese cuisine and relax in authentic Onsen spa baths.

We will take you to a an Ainu Village where you can meet the Ainu people, listen to their music, learn about their culture, clothing and history and watch an example of their traditional dancing.

Explore the interior of Hikone Castle, walk along two of the original trails that were once the only route from Kyoto to Tokyo and stroll through small villages that have preserved their Edo Period architecture and photogenic charm.

Forest clad mountains of The Japan Alps, Mt Fuji and Hokkaido Island should present themselves in their peak of red, gold and yellow autumn foliage. Experience a walk in the eerie, reputedly haunted, dense forest at the foot of Mt Fuji where lava tubes and sink holes, covered by a mesh of roots, all add credibility to the legends of lost souls.

Visit a Glass Museum to see valuable treasures of ancient glass artefacts, 5 metre high trees adorned with thousands of faceted glass beads and even a glass shirt and slippers. At Nagoya we visit the remains of the original Noritake Porcelain Kilns, see modern Noritake Ware being produced and be inspired by the extensive displays of historic and priceless pottery. You will also visit the home of Kiichiro Toyoda, founder of Toyota Motor Company and visit the Toyota Museum that explains the company lifeline from its foundation in 1911 as Toyoda Automated Loom Works.

Travel by coach 2,305 metres up Mt. Fuji to above the tree line and ride Senjojiki Kar Ropeway to above the clouds on Mt Komagane. Discover the charming old world architecture and character of the Hokkaido city of Hakodate, with its Russian Church, star shaped historic fort, early Meiji Restoration Period buildings and morning fish markets at the city wharf.

TRANSPORTATION & ACCOMMODATION

Touring will be in 24 seat private executive charter coaches, even though we will only be accepting 10 guests. You can also enjoy a 2 night cruise in deluxe twin cabin accommodation as we restfully head north from Nagoya on Honshu Island to Tomakomai Port on Hokkaido Island.

Our private executive coach will take you beyond the reach of public transport. We will take you touring into areas seldom visited by foreign tourists. Your accommodation has been especially chosen for it's atmosphere, convenient location and it's quality including a 5 star hotel in Tokyo.

We'll stay in both traditional Japanese style spa resorts and more familiar western style hotels, enjoying local cuisine and customs.

Experience the cultural elegance of staying in traditional Japanese style accommodation where you can relax in the therapeutic waters of hot spa baths and enjoy fine local cuisine at a Japanese style banquet which are included for your pleasure. Immerse yourself in a real Japanese atmosphere of bedrooms with sliding paper doors, tatami mat floors and soft futon beds..... and some even have romantic spa tubs for two.

This is an experience often looked for by cultural travellers and not always included in itineraries from other tour companies.
